In ISKCON, devotees are given "first initiation" and "second (brahminical) initiation", which gives more responsibility and rights to make offerings and do temple sevas. Prabhupada was initiating adults when he came to the west because he was making Brahmins out of mlecchas to start the movement. At the same time, he wanted to establish Varnasrama to include the majority of people who are not having brahminical inclinations.

Yesterday I had four interactions, opportunities, to observe myself in this exact situation. Two of them were opposed, and two were supportive. I can feel the strengthening of my nervous system clearly through this experience.

this is exactly what I am completing with, whether it’s my family of origin, Kailasa or ISKCON, the places I felt outside of and replicated that feeling through finding faults, creating separation and blaming them for it
